March 2022
Principal's Message
Spring is finally here! We are hopeful that the sun will shine a little brighter and that we all will be able to enjoy warmer days ahead.
The month of March was busy at "The Hive." We kicked things off with "Read Across America" on March 2nd. We had a few special guest readers including Mayor Arrigo, School Committee Member John Kingston, and our own Mr. Dore. Later in the day, we paired our older grades with younger grades to do a variety of literacy-based activities. On March 9th, students participated in our monthly 4 Bees Celebration, Mega Game Night. On March 10th, our 5th graders visited the three middle schools in the city(Rumney Marsh Academy, Garfield Middle School, and Susan B. Anthony Middle School). They got a glimpse into what middle-school life will be like in the not-so-distant future. Report Cards were emailed home to K-5 families on March 21st. This was followed by virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences. We had a very successful Spring Scholastic Bookfair that took place between March 21st- 25th.
Staff continues to challenge students both academically and social-emotionally. We are seeing growth in students' abilities to read, write, problem-solve, and make positive choices.
As we head into the final months of school, I can't stress enough the importance of attendance. Please make sure that your child arrives at school, on time. Keep an eye on absences and tardies in PowerSchool. If you need help accessing PowerSchool, please reach out.
Finally, we are hopeful to have many Beachmont School Community events in the months ahead. We are looking into a Spring Music Concert, Art Show, Multicultural Night, among others. Once we have dates solidified, we will pass that information along.
It's a great day to be a bee!

Ukranian Support Day
Wednesday, April 13th will be Ukraine Support Day. There is a growing humanitarian crisis in the Ukraine as a result of the war. Millions of people are displaced and in need of support. All Revere Elementary schools will have a dress-down day where students may wear blue or yellow in support of relief efforts in Ukraine. We are requesting an optional $1 donation that will benefit the International Red Cross.
