Volleyball Highlights
8th Grade Volleyball vs Florence
Our volleyball teams played Florence at home on Thursday. Below you will find the results for our 8th grade teams:
8 Blue:
Our Blue team won the first set 25-13 and the second set 25-10.

Our attack leaders were Alanna Biniak with 3 hits, and Rylie Greenlees and Kambree Meyer both with 2 hits. Also contributing to our team win was: Gabby Williams, Kira Federoff, Reagan Phariss, Sabrina Vaughan, and Dana Jensen
8 Gold:
Our Gold team also beat Florence in 2 sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-6.
Our leading servers were Sana Felix with 10 serves and Jaelyn Hergenreder and Addison Lockhart each with 5 serves. Leading passers were Brooke Everett with 14 digs and Jaelyn Hergenreder with 9. Finally, our leading hitter was Addison Lockhart with 5 attacks. We also saw great plays by: Abbie Wood, Emma Clark, Kendall Karg, Jada Malone, and Mary Spiers.
7 Gold
We defeated the Florence Lady Buffaloes this past Monday night in 3 sets. The Lady Vikings came out strong in the 1st set winning 25-11; however they were unable to get any mojo going from behind the service line or in serve receive and stumbled in the 2nd set losing 16-25. The 3rd set was all Lady Vikings as they found their form and dominated the final set to win 25-10. The girls continue to show improvement in their all around game. They’re getting much better at transitioning from defense to offense, trying to get to a spike on every possession. Unfortunately trying to spike as much as possible leads to committing some hitting errors from time to time. They’ve been told that they’ll have to work through those mistakes/steps to get to the level that we all want to be at. This is an eager group of young ladies who want to play at a high level. As I’ve stated before, I can’t wait to see just how well they’ll be playing in a few weeks time.
Outstanding Performers vs Florence:
Amelia Robinson: 5 Kills
Mikayla Vasquez: 7 aces, and 7 assists, 2 Kills
Melanie Sansom: 2 kills, 2 aces
Canon Yetley: 2 Assists, 3 aces
Natalie Kercheville: 1 Ace
Sydney Heibert: 1 Kill, 1 ace
Great Defensive efforts: Lana Spedale, Maddie Kassell, Chloe Patton, Hannah Simmons
7 Blue:
Our Blue team won the first set 25-7 and the second set 25-12.
Our leading servers were Megan Conine with 11 serves, both Emily Jungman and Paige Parsons with 8 serves, and Emma Prestage with 7 serves. Leading passers were Patience Solis with 6 digs and Megan Conine with 3 digs. Our assist leader was Stella Gjelaj with 3 assists. Also contributing to our team win was: Claire Brumfield, Isabella Adams, Phoebe Badger, Liana Faz and Lindsay Sanders.
Come on out and support the girls as we host Jarrell next Monday night 9/16.
