Binary! Addition and conversion!

By Emma and Lena!

What is Binary and converting!?!?!?!?!

  • Google defines binary as relating to, using, or denoting a system of numerical notation that has 2 rather than 10 as a base.
  • Binary is when you only use the numbers 0 and 1 to represent other things. 1 is on and 0 is off.

  • Here is a table that has converted numbers using binary. Here is a table to help you work it out: We will try to convert 42!!!!!

32 16 8 4 2 0
1 0 1 0 1 0
So the number 42 in binary is 101010 because if you do:
32+8+2=42

Binary addition?

Binary addition is when you use the numbers 1 and 0 to add up!

So 1+1=0

so you carry it over to the next column.

1+1+1=1 and you also carry over another 1.

Here is link to a tutorial to show you how!
