Super's Section

Attention Viking Nation! We are certainly …”On the Move”! This journey has been a busy yet rewarding start to the 2021-2022 school year. All faculty and staff have embraced the vision and mission around all things TACO (Talent, Academics Culture/Climate, and Operations) as we strive for excellence to move our district forward. We have continued our Listening and Learning Tours at the Humboldt Boys and Girls Club, Viking On Demand, Victory 97.3, The Coffee Shop, East Elementary, Rotary Club, and through webinars. The 2021 Spring TCAP and Accountability Data are beginning to arrive at the district. Academics will always be top priority for HCS. TCAP Family Portal information has been distributed to students/parents/guardians. Principals will be receiving reports to begin data disaggregation at their schools in order to make a positive impact on instruction and learning. We are now Google Classroom K-12. Technology has been distributed to students K-8. Devices for 9-12 have been distributed with priority given to EOC Course students. Contracts for additional devices have been found for purchasing and quotes are being generated for 200 additional devices. Student accounts have been synced in Google Classroom for their learning environment. Teachers have completed one training session using Google Classroom. Parents, students have devices to be used for research, class assignments, and remote learning if there is a need. Devices should be kept in usable condition should the need arise for remote learning. We celebrate students, staff and teachers for August! Congratulations!
