1. Public Domain- you can use it if the copyright is expired. ex:Romeo and Juliet

2. Freeware- copyrighted work that you can copy use or give away for free. ex:iTunes

3. Shareware- copy share and use for free but only for a limited time. ex:lite apps in app stores

4. All Rights Reserved- allows the purchaser to use the software in a license agreement. ex:most software you buy

5. Open Source- software that includes the source code with the idea that someone can improve it. ex: chrome or firefox
