Harappan culture


The language was indecipherable.Made of four hundred symbols.


Believed to be a theocracy. Oddly, no temples have been found. Religious artifacts show hindu connections. Below is Shiva, Hindu god of dance and destruction. Beneath that, a Harappan statue of a god. Strangely similar.

Hardpans brought gold and silver from Afghanistan and precious stones from Persia, trading brightly colored cotton clothing. The Indus river was used as transportation for goods.


The housing in Harappan cities showed little social division and even made childrens toys. No weapons or warfare equipment was found, suggesting a peaceful people.
