Preparing for Fall 2020

As we move through Phase 3 and eventually into Phase 4, District 41 is preparing for the possibility of in-person learning in the fall. The district continues to work with and follow the guidelines being communicated by the Illinois State Board of Education, the Regional Office of Education and the DuPage Health Department. Click here for a Recovery Plan update provided by Superintendent Kaczkowski at the June 8 Board of Education meeting.

Coming soon

In our expanding commitment to keep parents informed and engaged throughout the summer, Dr. K will be starting up a Facebook Live "D41 Press Conference". We will provide an opportunity for parents to submit questions ahead of time which will be addressed during the press conference. At this time we are working through the details and will send a separate announcement with more specific information to help our families stay connected and informed.

GECRC Summer Program Update

Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center (GECRC) Summer Program begins on Monday June 15th. With over 100 students from all five D41 schools registered, your students, their classmates and friends are in good hands. GECRC is ready and excited to kick off a summer of academic enrichment and social support!

Volunteers are at the heart of GECRC's mission! They bring a depth of care, experience, and enthusiasm to after school programs; GECRC wouldn’t be the same without them. Unfortunately, due to the Illinois safety protocols currently in place, this summer a limited roster of long standing volunteer tutors will participate in the virtual format of this year’s summer program. For those interested in supporting the students of GECRC this fall, please consider completing the volunteer interest form on the GECRC website at https://www.gecrc.com/volunteer/

D41 Kids Foundation Supporting Those Most in Need

Since mid-March the D41 Kids Foundation has provided support to students and families across our schools. Generous donors from our D41 school community and outside the community through businesses and civic organizations have stepped up to help. We are so grateful for these donations. The need for store gift cards will continue these next two months to bridge meal and grocery support. Summer learning for students from all five schools is also being supported through your generosity. Thank you for your support! Our grateful families also thank you for your support in this challenging time. To donate CLICK HERE
