Meet Your New Librarian
Hello Sunset Valley Elementary,
I am your new librarian, Mr. Dusing. I graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a bachelor of arts in Spanish, anthropology, and Latin American studies in 2007. I am currently enrolled at the University of North Texas in a library science master’s program with a school library certification. I have been a classroom teacher for 10 years, and I am thrilled to begin my career as a librarian with you this year. I am passionate about literacy (obviously!) and social justice as well as intellectual freedom and equitable access in the field of library science. I like books about fantasy and science fiction and my favorite authors are Neil Gaiman (The Graveyard Book) and Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). I am excited to share my reading life and ideas with you this year!
