Continent Club is a geography literacy program where students in grades 1-5 learn the names and locations of different countries each month and then participate in a check where they point out the countries on a map to volunteers. Due to the new district rules, children (including your child’s siblings) are not allowed to come when you are volunteering. To save on cost and reduce the amount of trash created at the parties, Green Team has provided tubs of reusable dishes (plates, cups and silverware). The bins for each class are located in the supply closet in the cafeteria.
Track Trot Donation Information: We have been seeing donations rolling in, thanks to everyone who is using the online payment option. Please continue to collect donations by sending your pledgers the wtvptc.org link or turning money into the office. Don’t forget to take advantage of employer matching if you have it available to you. We would like to have all donations collected by November 3rd.
500 Book Challenge: Some Kindergarten students are working towards a goal of having 500 books read to them before December 15th. We need volunteers to help them reach their goal! Anyone who can volunteer on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:15 - 10:45, please see the 500 Book Challenge on mVp to sign up. We are looking for 6-12 volunteers during each time.
Box Tops: Thank you everyone who has turned in box tops! The box is getting full but we still have room. Help our school earn extra money! Please cut out and turn in your box tops to the box in the main office by October 27th. (see flyer attached).
Art Auction Project Meeting: Art Lit volunteers, please join us for the Art Auction meeting on Tuesday Nov 7th at 9am in the cafeteria (the usual Art Lit time). We can do the final brainstorming for art project ideas and finalize these ideas.
