Lady Vikings Softball Wins District Championship

The Lady Vikings Softball Program came into the Class 4 District 8 Tournament as the #4 seed in what many saw as the toughest district in the state. The week of district softball saw the Lady Vikings battle to a District Championship after wins over #5 seed Timberland (9-15), #1 seed FZW (22-3) in extra innings and in the district championship game another extra inning game that took two days to complete over #2 seed Holt (25-4). The Lady Vikings now advance to the State Sectionals where they will travel to FHN on Wednesday. Schulte Qualifies For State

Congratulations to Bridget Schulte for qualifying for the MSHSAA State Championships in Golf. Bridget will represent FHHS on Monday and Tuesday this week at Rivercut Golf Club in Springfield, Missouri. Good luck to Bridget as she looks to medal at the State meet!

Lady Vikings Cross Country Wins GAC South Meet

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV Girls Cross Country Teams on their GAC South Team Championships. It was a great day for both of the girls programs as varsity runner Maddi Leigh won the individual championship for the third year in a row and JV runner Caroline Duboeuf won the individual JV championship in the GAC Meet. Congratulations on a great day for the Girls Cross Country program.

Boy's Cross Country Earns Medalists At GAC Meet

Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country Team on earning 2 medalists at the Varsity level and 1 at the JV level. Senior Walker Wetter turned in a great performance and ended up finishing 2nd in the meet. Both the Varsity and JV boys programs finished 3rd in the GAC South Meet. Congratulations on a great day.

Band Takes Home 1st Place At YEA Branson Festival

Congratulations to the band on an impressive day at the YEA Branson Festival. The band has been making great strides and growth within the program and their efforts Saturday paid off. The Viking Band took 1st Place at the festival while also winning Best Guard, Best Visual, Best Music, Best Percussion, and Best Overall Effect. Congratulations to the seniors, band members, staff, and parents for a great day at the YEA Branson Festival. You can see our band in action on 10/24 on campus in the Howell Marching Invitational.

Football Wins 4th Straight GAC South Title & 6th in 7 Years

The football program improved to 8-0 on the season and won the GAC South Championship following their 42-0 win over Troy. The Vikings have won 4 straight undefeated GAC South Championships and are currently 48-10 over the course of the past five seasons. The Vikings look to continue this winning streak as they enter the playoffs beginning Friday, October 23rd as they host an opponent TBD. Football Playoffs Begin October 23rd

The Missouri State High School Football playoffs will begin on Friday, October 23rd as the Vikings take on an opponent to be determined at 7 p.m. at home. At this point the Vikings will have home field advantage for at least the first two district playoff games but could host all three once seeds are finalized next Saturday. Below is a list of potential game times and admission costs for the state playoffs. Please note that these are all MSHSAA sponsored events and activity and staff passes are not accepted. These are not Francis Howell High School events. Please come out and support our #2 state ranked and undefeated Vikings during the playoffs.

Freshman Volleyball Wins GAC Tournament

The Freshman Lady Vikings Volleyball program won the GAC Tournament on Saturday at FHC by going a perfect 4-0 on the day. The freshman program is currently 23-3 on the season with two of their losses coming to JV teams. The freshman will finish their season this week as they take on Marquette, FHN, and Lafayette.

Over $400 Raised For Pink Out During Dash For Cash

The football program raised over $400 during a two minute "Dash For Cash" during the annual Pink Out football game. Thank you to all that donated to help find a cause!

Winter Meet The Coachs Scheduled For 10/21

On Wednesday, October 21st the winter "Meet the Coaches" night will be held in the FHHS commons. All winter student-athletes and parents are required to attend this meeting. Student-athletes should turn in all eligibility paperwork during this time. All completed paperwork must be turned in by October 30th at noon to ensure participation on November 2nd when winter sports begin. All freshman, juniors, and new students to FHSD in basketball, wrestling, and winterguard must have an updated Impact test completed to participate.
