School's OUT For Summer, Teacher Assignment Letters Sent Home

Chapel Families,

We have successfully concluded the 2020-2021 school year! A sincere thank you to our Chapel families for all of the grace and support offered during this unique school year. Each of you were instrumental in your child’s academic success. Our students, staff, and families showed their resiliency every day and proved wholeheartedly why we are #CDES STRONG!

As a means to be proactive this year, teacher assignment letters were sent home with students today (6/17) with current K-4th students for the 2021-2022 school year, instead of mailing them later in the summer. Current Pre-K students and incoming Pre-K students for next year will receive their letter in the mail at a later date, as we are still enrolling students.

Class lists are strategically created to meet the needs of every individual student. As a reminder, we do not take parent requests for teacher assignment. In addition, some staffing could be impacted due to enrollment numbers as new students register over the summer. If your child’s teacher changes, you will receive an updated letter over the summer.

Your child’s teacher will be contacting you the week of August 23rd to schedule your parent/teacher conference. At this time, we are planning on giving parents the option of virtual or in-person conferences. These conferences will take place on August 26th and 27th. Teachers will be reaching out to you to determine which date/time works best with your family’s schedule. During your conference, teachers will be asking parents a series of questions in order to best meet your child’s needs for the start of school on August 30th. We look forward to meeting you and your child!

The CDES 21-22 School Supply List by grade level can be found below and on our Chapel Cheetah News FaceBook page. You may also pre-order your child’s school supplies kit through our PTO sponsored link-

Below is a parent survey to provide us with feedback on what we did well this school year, as well as areas we can improve. We appreciate your feedback!

Please enjoy a well-deserved summer with your family and take time to RELAX and REJUVENATE! We look forward to seeing our Chapel Cheetah students again on August 30th!
