- The first Builders Club meeting will be on Sept. 24th in room 324. See Mrs. Nichols if you have a question.
- Any girl in 7th or 8th grade who are interested in playing softball in the spring, there will be softball intramurals at the Town hall from 3 o’clock to 4:30 starting on Tuesday, September 18th. These intramurals will run every Tuesday until the weather is too bad to play. We will hit in the cage, throw, and field. If you have any questions, please see Coach Farrell in the PE office.
- Do you ever feel stressed and can't relax? Do you want to try something fun that benefits your brain and your body? You should come to Yoga Club! We meet every Monday in W17, Mrs. Curry's room. New members are always welcome.
- Do you love to sing, dance, or be funny? Have you always wondered what it would be like to be an actor? Come learn about Drama Club! This year’s show is “Guys and Dolls Jr.” There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, October 2nd from 3:45 to 4:45 in the auditorium. You will need a ride home. We will have a study hall for you to go to after school until the meeting starts. If you have any questions talk to Mrs. Mungo in the Main Office.
- Ridge Runners will be starting again this fall on September 17th. Anyone interested in running after school a few days a week is invited. There is no experience necessary. This is a great way to practice a lifetime sport, a great way to build endurance for other sports and also to meet new friends! See Mrs. Swinson in room 203 for more information or go to www.ridgerunners TXC.com to register.
- Intramurals will start on Monday, September 17th. Just come down to the locker room after school, change into your PE clothes, and meet in the gym. Mondays will be Touch Football, Tuesdays will be Soccer, and Thursdays will be Kickball. Remember if you are participating in a school sport this fall, you are not eligible to participate in intramurals. If you have any questions, ask Mr. Petz in the boy's PE office.

Student Council Election Time!!
It’s time for SPRY STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION For 2018-2019!
Structure of the Student Council
The Webster Spry Student Council is made up of a total of 30 representatives. Each spring (for those who will be entering grades 7 and 8 the following year) and fall (for incoming 6th graders) there will be a general election; students may vote for representatives from their grade level only, and the top three vote-getters from each house/grade will be elected into office. The 30 Student Council members (grades 6-8) will be in one Student Council Homeroom. Each member will be assigned as a liaison to other homerooms to facilitate communication.
The 30 Spry Student Council Representatives will be made up of:
3 elected representatives from each grade and house (3 Red 6 + 3 White 6 + 3 Blue 6 + 3 Red 7 + 3 White 7 + 3 Blue 7 + 3 Red 8 + 3 White 8 + 3 Blue 8 = total 27 elected representatives)
3 “at-large” representatives to be selected by the advisors from the remaining candidates who were on the ballot (selection to be based on number of votes and past experience – at the discretion of the advisors)
*Note: if there aren’t enough candidates of one house/grade, others will be substituted at advisor discretion.
The Student Council Officers will be voted into office in September by the 7th and 8th grade elected representatives from amongst themselves. The officers must be in either 7th or 8th grade. The officer positions are:
