Dear Robert Hunter families,
Thank you for joining us at Back to School Night and partnering with us this school year. We loved seeing families back in our building - the energy and positivity was fantastic. Also, thank you to those of you who shared feedback about our amazing teachers. Your children are in good hands with our professional and dedicated staff!
We ended the Week of Respect with an amazing Walkathon. It was truly a great day. So many smiles as students walked with friends and danced with Robbie Racoon. Each class shared posters that showed their pledge to being kind and respectful. See some examples below. The kids were so proud to display their posters as they walked around the blacktop. All posters will be hung in our school building to show our ongoing commitment to kindness and respect - beyond the Week of Respect. Thank you to the PTO and Walkathon committee who helped organize this great event!
We hope to see many of you at our Halloween Family Fun Night on Friday!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Glaab and Mrs. Braynor

The survey will be open through Oct. 17th.
Halloween
We are planning our Halloween parade for 10:00 on Oct. 29th. Children should come to school in their costumes, should they choose to participate. As you are choosing costumes, please remember that plastic weapons, such as guns and swords, may NOT be brought to school as part of a costume. Additionally, please be mindful that scary or revealing costumes leave lasting impressions on our youngsters. Your cooperation to keep our parade enjoyable for all is greatly appreciated. If you would prefer your child not to remain in their costume all day, please send in alternative clothing for him/her to change into after the parade. Families are invited to watch the parade on the blacktop if it is held outside. If it rains, we would need to move our parade indoors without family viewing.
Classrooms will also be having class parties. Homeroom parents only are permitted to enter the building for class parties as long as required volunteer protocols have been followed.
Homeroom parents who are assisting must connect with teachers prior to the event for approved food and activities and permission into the building. Food items and ingredients should be shared with the teacher at least one week prior to the celebration. You must adhere to class allergy restrictions as well as the district wellness policy HERE in regards to food. This includes:
Offering snacks that do not contain sugar as the first ingredient
No candy or spun sugar products
Juices offered should be 100% fruit juice.
As an added safety measure due to COVID, it’s safer to avoid platter type food options and offer snacks in individual bags or servings. You may always reach out to the teacher and or nurse for guidance. Thank you.
If you would prefer that your child not participate in Halloween activities, please email your child’s teacher, so that we can plan alternate activities.
