Good evening Barbieri Families,


Our Carnival Theme Book Fair has started and we are excited to offer the opportunity for evening shopping tomorrow during our family picnic night! Please join us tomorrow for outdoor dining on our playground, book fair shopping and FUN!


We request that you bring CASH or CHECK ONLY to the book fair. Unfortunately our credit card machine is not working. CASH OR CHECK ONLY. NO CREDIT CARDS.


Today we had our last FIRE DRILL of the year! Framingham Fire Department gave us the thumbs up for a safe and speedy dismissal! Each time we practice a fire drill at Barbieri School we ensure that 674 students and over 100 staff members exit the building! GREAT JOB LITTLE HAWKS! A SPECIAL THANK YOU to the Barbieri parents/guardians who were present and supported our exit as they volunteered for the book fair.

The Barbieri PTO will be sponsoring a fall Scholastic Book Fair at Barbieri School! The Scholastic Book Fair will be facilitated by Mrs. Tiffanie Maskell. A HUGE THANK YOU TO MRS.MASKELL for all of her hard work in getting it all arranged for us!


The Scholastic Book Fair will be held Monday, May 22nd- Friday, May 26th.

Hello Barbieri Families,


I hope we are doing wonderfully during our last few weeks of school! I’m definitely looking forward to some fun in the sun this summer. As we get into the final days of the school year, we would like to get our lost and found sorted out proactively. For those of you who have entered our school recently, they have seen the amount of lost and found we have accrued over the school year. I would like to invite you to please come and look for any lost winter jackets, sweaters, and many more articles of clothing from our lost and found. If these items are not claimed by June 21, they will be donated to families in need. I will send out another reminder in early June.


Community events to be excited for:

  • FPS Pride Day on June 15th

  • Pride Event on June 4th at Framingham Farm Pond from 3:30 to 6 pm.

  • Juneteenth 6/19 at Framingham Farm Pond from 1 to 6 pm. Entrance is free, and there will be food, music, games, a raffle, and face painting! Bring your own chair/blanket :)


I also wanted to send out my Barbieri Wraparound referral form for those needing Wraparound services. Wraparound services include holistically supporting our district's families while connecting them to community resources. There will be an Early Release Day on Thursday, May 25th! Dismissal will be at 12:55PM. Lunch WILL BE served! This is a Parent/Guardian Conference DAY! Please review the upcoming dates below.

Move-Up Day at Barbieri School!

Move-Up day will be hosted by grade level teams in the auditorium. Move-Up day will be on Wednesday, June 14th! More details to follow!


During move up day whole grade level teams of students are introduced to the whole grade level team of teachers for the following 23-24 SY.

WALSH STUDENTS VISIT BARBIERI GRADES 1 and 2

Walsh 7th Grade Students and former Barbieri Students visited Barbieri School last week to read self created short stories in Spanish to the grade 1 and grade 2 students!


Just like Mrs. Goldman said to me last week, " A hawk always finds its way back to it's nest." From 7th graders returning to FHS seniors returning for their self portrait tiles, Barbieri students come back!


Hawks regard their nests as their home and most will come back and use the same nest again and again. Maybe, that's one of the reasons that they're so fiercely protective of their nesting site.

FHS Senior Service Day- Tile Project🎨🖌️

FHS Seniors that are former Barbieri students will come back to Barbieri to connect with fifth graders as they prepare for middle school. They will share their experiences from their time attending Barbieri, Middle School, and Framingham High. Fifth graders will ask about their plans for the future and how being bilingual has shaped their academic career. This opportunity for reflection and exchange of ideas comes at a time when current fifth grade students are completing their self-portrait tiles. Seniors will share how the process of making the tiles was for them and how it felt reuniting with their artwork after 7 years. Barbieri students always come back home!
