Message from Administration
January 3, 2022
MVLA Families,
MVLA is very proud of our ongoing robust testing program for students, staff, and community. As we return from our Winter break, the community is experiencing an uptick in positive cases. MVLA continues our onsite testing, and we have three options we would like to share with you to promote ongoing safety on campuses.
- Santa Clara County Health Department encourages testing before returning to school. Free Antigen take-home rapid tests for students may be picked up at your school site today, January 3, 2022, between 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the student parking lots. Students may pick up tests at either Mountain View High School or Los Altos High School.
- Early morning Antigen take-home rapid test distribution on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, between 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. at the same locations above.
- Reminder: All-day PCR testing is available January 3, 2022, through Friday, January 7, 2022, and we have extended our hours to be 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the district office located at 1299 Bryant Avenue, Mountain View, and Los Altos High School located at 201 Almond Avenue, Los Altos, in the theater lobby.
We encourage families to take advantage of these options. MVLA prioritizes health over attendance. Your safety and health are a primary concern. Once again, if you are not feeling well or are not sure of your COVID-19 status, please stay home. Our district staff will support you with make-up work or attendance clearing. We look forward to a productive and positive second semester and appreciate your continued support.
District administration would like to assure the community that we continue to monitor COVID-19 public health recommendations and data and update you if any changes occur. Due to the high volume of COVID-related correspondence, please refer first to the COVID Designee FAQs. If you have further questions, please email covid.designee@mvla.net, and our team will reply to you at their earliest opportunity.
Thank you,
MVLA Administration
