MAKING PROGRESS
At EEA, we are in awe of the amazing efforts our district goes to in an effort to support its employees in obtaining their goal. Our district understands the importance of this center as it serves as a critical foundation for our children and their academic success.
Most recently, our district approved our center's request for an updated playground. But our district leaders stole our hearts when they approved the much needed solar shade to cover the equipment.
The playground equipment has been ordered and should arrive in four to five weeks. Please see picture below of approved layout.

Early Expectations for Learning
- Reading to our children
- Sharing your work. Children want to do real work all by themselves. Next time when you are sorting laundry, ask your child to sort socks or towels from the rest of the pile. Count the forks on table or the dishes in the dishwasher. Every little bit counts.
- Commenting on what you are doing and why. This offers children ideas about connections that will have meaning later.
- Using cereal boxes, cartons and cans to create fun things with.
- Holding your child every day. Supporting emotional development is one of the most important things to prepare children for academic progress.
- Teaching by doing and experimenting, not by telling.
