Letter from the Principal
Dear Tualatin Black Bear Families,
Happy Friday! We have all enjoyed some sunshine this week with students. Our play structure area drained enough by today so students could enjoy some recess time in that area again. We hope the coming rain is light and that our order of wood chips will still be possible this year. Has your student mentioned playing in the Gaga Ball pit? If not, this could be a good school topic over the weekend. Below is also some other news to be aware of.
COVID Safety: we will continue to wear masks outside during recess for a bit longer.
Class celebrations: classroom celebrations for days like Valentine’s Day will continue to be focused on fun activities. We are still having healthy snacks outside and in the cafeteria for the time being.
Community Involvement: There are upcoming community engagement opportunities for TTSD Strategic Planning, Budget Committee and public comment sessions. If you are interested, please contact me, Mr. Kingery, through our school office. 503 431-4800
Save the Date: Kindergarten registration is tentatively scheduled for February 16th from 4-6 PM. More information and details next week.
NEW INCOMING STUDENTS ONLY: K-5th Fall registration opens on Monday, January 31st. (Current students do not re-enroll.) Registration is online at: https://www.ttsdschools.org/Domain/50 or here. See the links under the "Parent" option on the TTSD website and go to “Enrolling Your Student”. If your Pre-K student is continuing on to a TTSD Kindergarten, you do not need to re-enroll them. Current students do not re-enroll.
We hope all our Black Bear families enjoy a wonderful weekend!
Warm Wishes,
Mr. Kingery
Principal
