Nacogdoches
"Friendliest Town in America"
Historical Significance
The city known as the oldest city of Texas, is Nacogdoches, which is a city where many historic events had taken place. Many important people came from Nacogdoches, such as Thomas Jefferson and Sam Houston. In 1859 the first oil well operated there and was known as the Spindletop, and was drilled in 1901. On February 1, 2003 a space shuttle Columbia broke up during re-entry shattering and leaving scraps around Texas, which most of it landed in the Nacogdoches area.

Cities Attractions
Most people might find the Alamo very interesting but for me, I think the Old Stone Fort is. Not only does it have some very cool artifacts but is now a museum where you can see all of the historical events that had taken place. The Old Stone Fort is not the only thing that Nacogdoches is known for, it also contains the world known University "Stephen F. Austin State University."
