Mr. Hornberger
Hi everyone! My name is Jacob Hornberger and I am an Educational Assistant. This will be my fourth year at North Decatur. In the fall you can find me on the football field. I am one of the assistant coaches with the Jr High Football Program. You can normally find me hunting, fishing, or cheering on the Chicago Bears or Cubs.
Mrs. Scudder
Hi Chargers! My name is Teresa Scudder. I am an Instructional Educational Assistant. I graduated from NDHS in 1986 and graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1992. I am a life long resident of Decatur County. I have been with NDE for eleven years. I am married to my childhood sweetheart, Tex and we have three grown children and eight grandchildren (ages range from 25 to 6 years). Tex and I, along with all our children and grandchildren have been Chargers!!! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, quilting, crafting, and watching NFL football! Go Colts!
Miss Hankins
Hello, my name is Maddy Hankins and I just started working at NDES in August 2022. I have lived in the Waldron/St. Paul area my whole life and graduated from Waldron in 2016. I went on to study Human Movement and Health Science Education at Butler University and graduated in 2020. I spent the last seven years working in long term health care facilities and have ventured into a new career path! I’m working towards a Teachers License in Special Ed. In my free time I enjoy taking my rescue dog, Bruce, on walks with my boyfriend, Danny. We enjoy spending time with family and friend and going on adventures! #GoChargers!
Mrs. Ploeger
Hello, My name is Barb Ploeger. This is my 26th year as an Educational Assistant at NDE. I graduated from GCHS in 1980. My husband, Brian, and I were married in 1984 (38 yrs). We have two grown children, Alisha (James) McKinley and Neal (Taylor) Ploeger. We have four grandchildren: Emerson, Carson, Evelyn, Mack, and three grand dogs. In my spare time, I like to camp, read, spend relaxing time on my porch, attend sporting events, and spoil my “Little People” aka grandchildren.
I love my NDE family………GO CHARGERS!!
Congrats to Miss Josie Hartman @ndeschargers for being one of the five Indiana State Recipients of the Youth Power and Hope Awards! This award is for students in fifth through eighth grades who are active leaders in their communities. This girl is a Community Superstar who makes a positive impact in many different ways! Keep on keeping on Miss Josie! The sky is the limit!

Fifth and Sixth Grade Boy's Basketball News
