Preparing Witt-Birn Middle Schoolers for Lifelong Success
Welcome to the May edition of TRIO Connect. This month we will cover the following topics:
- Career Day
- Spring Field Trip pictures
- Preview of next year
Thank you for making career day a success! The speakers enjoyed speaking to you and had good things to say about all of you. I hope you all learned something new and are excited about next year. Here are some pictures from WMS and BMS career days.
This year 7th graders toured Lambeau Field and heard about jobs available there. They even got to try on a Super Bowl ring! Eighth graders toured UWMC and NTC and attended the NTC Career Fair where they learned about jobs in the area. After that they went to the mall for lunch! These field trips are FREE to you for being in the TRIO Talent Search program.
Next year you will see me in the classroom 6 times again. Topics will include career exploration, learning styles inventory, multiple intelligence and personality assessment. 7th graders will see me in English, 8th graders in Careers, and 9th graders in Science and Social Studies.
HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
UW-Stout's Educational Talent Search is a 100% funded TRIO Program serving 680+ students with $296,548 awarded this budget period.
