Girls Soccer Wins Conference Championship

On Friday night the girls soccer team clinched a GAC South Championship by winning 1-0 over Troy. You can read an STL Today article from the game below. With the win the Lady Vikings moved to 11-5 on the season. They are currently ranked both locally and at the state level. The Lady Viking finish the regular season this week and will kick off district play next Monday against FZN. They come into the district tournament as the number one seed and are looking to avenge a district championship loss from last season.

Girls Track Finishes Second At GAC Meet; Boys Bring Home Several Medalists

It was a great GAC South Meet for all levels of the track program. The Varsity Girls program led the way with a second place finish. Howell Wind Ensemble Concert A Huge Hit

On Friday night our very talented band students hosted the Wind Ensemble Concert. IT was another great opportunity to see our musicians perform for a packed theatre at Howell. The highlight of the night was when the Howell Choir teamed up with the band to perform "Homeland." This is the first time in many years that the two groups have collaborated together on a performance. You can view short video's of the performances below. Boys Volleyball Takes 4th At O'Fallon Tournament; Steward Makes All Tournament Team

On Friday and Saturday the varsity boys volleyball team competed in the O'Fallon Illinois Tournament. The Vikings finished fourth in the tournament. In addition to the fourth place finish Kyle Steward was named to the All-Tournament team. Congratulations to Kyle and to the boys volleyball program on a great weekend.

Castello & Totty Named To MAC All-Star Game

Congratulations to Caden Castello and Jake Totty on being named to the Missouri Athletic Club All-Star team. Both Vikings will compete against the top players in the state in the annual All-Star game.

Josh Unland Earns National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete Award

On Sunday night, Josh Unland was honored by the National Football Foundation St. Louis Tom Lombardo Chapter for both his success on the field and in the classroom. Josh was named a Scholar Athlete by the NFF. Congratulations to Josh on a great high school career on the field and in the classroom.

Girls Lacrosse Celebrates Senior Night & Most Successful Season In Program History

The Girls Lacrosse program is having the most successful season in program history. Last week they celebrated a talented group of seniors that have helped lead the Lady Vikings to a 10-2 record and a #3 state ranking. These talented ladies will finish up the regular season this week before heading into the state tournament. Congratulations to Coach Ginn and our Lady Vikings!

Eli Cooper Signs Contract With Islanders Hockey Club

Howell senior Eli Cooper has signed a contract for the 2018-19 season with the Islanders Hockey Club, based out of Tygnsboro, MA. The Islanders Hockey Club plays in the USPHL junior hockey league. THe Islanders had 12 NCAA commitments this last season. Congratulations to Eli on this great accomplishment.

Girls Soccer Volunteers At SPENSA

On Saturday, the Lady Vikings soccer program continued their involvement and outreach in the community by volunteering with the Special Needs Soccer Association (SPENSA). The girls soccer program took to the field to help young people with disabilities play soccer. The goal of is to bring the excitement and fun of playing soccer to players who traditionally have not had a place in the youth soccer system. For more information on SPENSA please visit

Baseball Honors Law Enforcement Alumni

The Howell Baseball program has turned out much more than just great baseball players. The program has many alumni that have gone on to do great things and to represent both the program and Howell in a positive way. On Saturday morning the baseball program recognized Howell Baseball alumni that are currently law enforcement officers. Chad Thorpe, Brian Jundt, Kyle Jundt and Mike Land were recognized at the game and threw out the first pitch. Thank you to these very special alums that protect us on a daily basis.

JV Girls Lacrosse Wins Summit Tournament

The JV Girls Lacrosse team won the Summit Tournament last week. Over the course of the two day tournament the Lady Vikings went 3-1. The JV team is currently 8-3 on the season and will finish up their schedule this week with two games. Congratulations to our JV Girls on a great tournament and season!

Both the freshman and JV volleyball teams competed in their respective JV Tournaments on Saturday. The JV team finished third while the freshman team finished fourth. Congratulations to both the freshman and JV programs on great seasons.

The JV Baseball team finished up their season with a win over FHN on Friday in the Holt Tournament. The JV Vikings finished third in the tournament and finished their season with a 10-9 record.
