Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

PARCC this week...

9th and 10th grade students began the ELA PARCC test this morning. They worked very hard, despite a few minor technology glitches :) Students will continue to test tomorrow and Thursday!

Roaring Twenties Project!!! Due on March 31st .......... (Report and Poster)

Students have had three full class periods to find resources for the project thus far. Students had one full period today to work on their posters and will be given some more time over the next week.

** I have purchased the poster boards for each student and have art supplies for them to use.

"Careers Without College" Student Event at Coventry High School on April 10th (Friday)

General Information:


-8:00-1:00 P.M

-Buses will be bringing students to and from (Ms. Ven will attend with the WWHS group)

-Lunch will be provided to students

-4 breakout sessions (different topics for each) (25 minutes each)

-Student panels talking about their own experiences with getting a job without college

-Agencies/Employers will be there with resources for all students

-Good networking and life skills

-Offered to students and teacher in the WEST BAY area in RI



This is a great chance for students to learn what is out there for them after high school! I am involved in a Transition Committee for the state of RI that allows me to gain more resources and information on the topic of transition. This is one of the events that the committee is putting on for students in the West Bay area. Please email to let me know if you are interested or if you would like your child to attend!
