The Pizitz Post
For Students, Parents & Families - April 4, 2022
Integrity
As educators, we have the distinct privilege to build relationships with our students every day. We look forward to getting to know them as students, artists, mathematicians, musicians, athletes, writers, and scientists. During the middle school years, they are discovering their strengths and identifying some areas for growth as well. We want to provide a place that helps our students to see that they can grow from success and failure. Even though losing or failing can be hard, I am so grateful for teachers who come alongside your kids and give them the encouragement they need to keep trying.
This year, I am especially grateful that our students and teachers identified the character traits that we believe represent a Pizitz Pirate best. Our commitment to character, excellence and family means that we will display these traits when we are winning and when we are losing. In these last two months of school, we will continue to highlight these character traits, seeking to find opportunities to help our students be affirmed in the healthy habits they display that show evidence of good character.
This week, we are talking about integrity. At Pizitz, we define integrity as choosing to be truthful and following through with doing the right thing. We look forward to affirming students' integrity in the weeks ahead.
