Happy Homecoming!
It's a busy time of the semester and there are many different guests coming to the career center in upcoming weeks. For those of you interested in media careers, check out the One Day Immersion in Media next Friday. I'm happy to share that the Creative Careers Meet-Ups will return! I'll be showcasing a production team that designs immersive experiences as well as an entrepreneur/studio artist.
Some employers of interest (including Amazon and Google) will be on campus and eager to meet students like you. Details below!

One Day Immersion in Media Conference
One Day Immersion is a full day of media execs talking about the industry – from cable to broadcast; content creation and production to program launch – you'll get it straight from people who are doing it now! The event will be taking place in NYC, but W&M's Cohen Career Center will host a live stream of the event so students can attend on campus.

Creative Careers Meet-Up: Live Event and Video Production Team
AVAdventure is an Emmy-award winning multimedia and live event production company based in Richmond, Virginia. The company specializes in creating immersive experiences utilizing physical spaces, digital media, and live actors as well as short form documentary and promotional video production. Past projects include The Great Williamsburg Adventure Race, which combined "Amazing Race" style challenges, location based puzzles, and a citywide scavenger hunt into a one day team competition and The Reset Council, an interactive, educational experience that enables participants to make governing decisions for a fictitious city and see the results of their decisions brought to life in the "real world" through news, radio reports, custom artistic works, and more. Come learn more about how this team uses creativity to get the public to play along!
