Spring Break: Next week is the much anticipated Spring Break!! That means it is time for the weather to get warmer!! I hope everyone has an enjoyable time with family and a little reprieve from the daily pressures.
With the extremely unfortunate events of today, I am once again reminded of what really matters. I am also reminded of the gratitude I have for our first responders, the procedures we have in place and the immediate way these procedures happened. Most importantly, I'm grateful for the outcome we had. I am very, very proud of our school, staff, and students. All was calm at our school (although the insides of the office staff were churning for a bit). Our teachers were amazing!!! They carried on as normal! We simply kept our doors locked and all students inside. What amazing people they are!
I am also very grateful for our Art City families. I received several very gracious and kind emails. I will always err on the side of caution, and I am very appreciative of your support of that decision.
Kindergarten Registration: As many of you know, there is now an option for full day kindergarten! We are super, super excited about this!! When you register your child for kindergarten you will have the opportunity to say if you are interested in all day kindergarten. If you have already registered and want to change your preference please DO NOT re-register. Call the office and let Natalie help you. Please share this information with friends and neighbors who may not have older children in school.
Lunch Accounts: Please check to make sure your child has their lunch account up to date. We will begin calling every few days for those accounts that are in the negative. We must have all accounts balanced by May. Also, please make sure there is enough in your child's account for the rest of the year. Thank you so much!
Yearbooks: If you are interested in a year book for your child, please see the flyer below. There is a big savings by ordering early! The copies available at the end of the year are limited. Thank you PTA for continuing to offer a yearbook for our students.
If I can ever be of any help, please don't hesitate to call the school 801-489-2820 or email me at lisa.muirbrook@nebo.edu
