Who Do You Say That I Am?
Jesus Through My Eyes
Jesus is in every sunset, flower, and body of water you see.
When you pass through the waters,
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
1 John 3:16-18
Friends ~ He is in every friend and schoolmate you see.
I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn't confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. John 15:15
Saint Peter Says Jesus Is...
When Jesus asked his friends the simple question of who is he, it was answered by his faithful follower Peter who said, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God" (Matthew 16:16), while the others said things of who Jesus was said to be. Evidently, Peter has some sort of understanding and trust that Jesus is the Son of Man. This is shown in the footnote of when Jesus said that "the flesh and blood has not revealed this to you" (Matthew 16:17), basically meaning that Jesus told him this but God revealed it to him. This is backed up in 1 Corinthians 15:50, when Jesus states "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" basically saying that a human cannot inherit the Kingdom, but rather a greater being can, inferring a godly being. Within the footnotes, it also refers to Galatians 1:16, which says "...reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles" inferring that "his Son" means God's one and only son was revealed to him so that he can spread the message of God. This showed me that God revealed himself to Peter through another human, thus leading me to believe God is in every human, but he does not necessarily show it. In order for you to see God in every person, you must first believe it, then you can see it.
