Brahma Weekly Updates
Week 30: March 23 - 27, 2020
Hello Brahmas,
This week begins our second unprecedented week of school closure. Supporting each other during this precarious time is of utmost importance. We hope the enrichment resources and activities have been helpful to our students while at home.
For Week 30, I am pleased to share a link to our Instrumental Music program's recent recordings. Special thanks to Music Directors Marie Sato and Steve Acciani for providing this amazing emotional boost of music excellence! A Message from our USB President, Brian Jin!
Hello Brahmas!
My name is Brian and I am this year’s USB president. Similar to ASB, USB is a student-led government that plans all activities here on campus.
During this break, I have been spending an unhealthy amount of time playing video games. Also, I have been spending my time reviewing material to keep focused and in-check. Moreover, I have been practicing social-distancing, refraining from going out, all while keeping in contact with some of my closest friends.
While talking with my friends I can not help but think of some of the things I look the most forward to coming back to. I can not wait to be able to walk into the USB room during 4th period and be able to plan activities alongside my peers. To my peers, I miss every single one of you and can not wait to see you guys when we return.
Brahmas, what are you guys looking forward to doing the most when we return? Follow our Instagram account to stay updated during this break @diamondbarusb!
See you soon!
Brian,
USB President
Walnut Valley Water District Poster Art Contest!
Reminder, though our school is currently closed, students can still participate in the Student Poster Art Contest and High School Broadcast Media & Digital Art Contest. One main change is that all entries must be mailed to the Water District Office at 271 S. Brea Canyon Rd., Walnut CA 91789. Contest deadlines will be postponed until all schools are back in session to give time for the entries to be mailed.
