Are you Ready???
Ok folks, it's here!!! The first day of school is just a couple of days away (August 17th to be exact) and our Alta Mesa staff can't wait to see your kids return to our campus!!! Our teachers have been working like crazy over the last couple of weeks to prepare their classrooms. A special thanks to Shuffleburger Construction who have been working double time to finish our new office by the first day of school. Speaking of which, our new office will officially open on the first day of school. We will be pretty busy getting moved into the new space over Monday and Tuesday of this week, so for those days, the office will still be in the library.
Parents, please remember that Back to School Night will be this week on Thursday, August 18th from 5:30-7:00. We will have everyone start in the gym at 5:30 and then classroom presentations will start around 6:00 pm. For our Kindergarten and 1st grade students we are still doing a "Meet and Greet" on Tuesday, August 16th from 11:30-12:30. For the "Meet and Greet" please enter through the Kindergarten gate.
We are so excited to start this new school year with your children. This year will be yet another step toward normality. We are seeing fewer restrictions (see flyer below) which allows us to add back more and more programs and activities to our school community. Thank you for entrusting us with your kids. Go Eagles!!!

Office Remodel/Temporary Office The office remodel is nearing completion. We are excited to have our new office as it provides increased campus security and more space for teacher/parent/student meetings. Our contractor has said that construction will finalize on August 15. We will be using August 15 and 16th to move into the new space, so the library will remain the office until the first day of school on August 17th. | Back to School Night Back to School Night will be a little different this year. Instead of waiting till the second or third week of school, we will have our Back to School Night on the second day of school. Back to School night will be on August 18th, from 5:30-7:00. We will start with some remarks and staff introductions in the gym at 5:30 and classroom presentations starting at 6:00. Back to School Night is for parents to meet their child's teacher and learn how the classroom operates. | Kinder and 1st Grade Meet and Greet We always create space for our youngest students to find their classrooms and meet their teachers prior to the first day of school. This allows them to feel more comfortable and know where to go and who to connect with when they start school. Our kindergarten and 1st-grade classrooms will be having a meet and greet on Tuesday, August 16th from 11:30-12:30. When arriving for the Meet and Greet, please enter through the kindergarten playground. |
