Thank you to everyone who has been hard at work to help prepare for Casino Night. It has been amazing to see so many people work together on this event. Students that are performing need to wear their state shirt and arrive at least 30 minutes before their approximate performance time. Parents are welcome to come in to watch their student's performance without buying in, although we hope you do! The event is off campus at the Columbus Club.

What is a Casino Night?

Normally in Vegas it’s you against the house. Well in our case, the casino is there for only one reason—to teach you the game so you can have as much fun as possible. Never gambled before? No problem. We will have professional dealers, equipment, and tables on hand to give you a full Casino experience!

$30 gets you in the door with $1000 worth of chips. Those chips are exchanged at the end of the night for raffle tickets for some spectacular items.

Letter Jacket Fittings

Please check the list here for your name if you think you have earned a letter jacket. We have submitted your name and email addresses to be sent information on purchasing a letter jacket. The school pays for the jacket and letter, and the student is responsible for paying for any add ons. Please let us know if you think your name should be on this list or if you do not receive ordering information from Herff Jones by the end of this week.

The fitting for letter jackets for the students that lettered this year is Thursday, February 16th at 4:30 pm in the band hall.

Here is how to qualify for a letter jacket in band and color guard taken from our Band Handbook.

All band members may be eligible to earn a letter jacket if they meet any of following requirements:

1. Must be in band for three years with at least 75% participation in full ensemble UIL competitions and be enrolled in band for their senior year. (Move-ins will still be eligible when they are seniors)

2. Make the All-Region Band or earn a 1st Division rating on a solo or ensemble at the UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest.

3. Completing a full season as a member of the Varsity Winter Guard.

Florida Trip Update

We are having a mandatory trip meting for all students attending the trip on Monday, March 6th at 7 pm. The student and one parent are required to be at the meeting to get information.

Sophomores and Freshmen will finish signing up for a bus seat this week on Monday and Tuesday. Here are the hotel room assignments.

Also, here is which park we will be starting and ending our day while on the trip. Students will be able to park hop starting at 2 pm when we are at Disney parks.

Monday, March 13 - Hollywood Studios

Tuesday, March 14 - Universal

Wednesday, March 15 - Epcot (Workshop day)

Thursday, March 16 - Magic Kingdom

Here is an updated itinerary. We are now leaving at 3 pm on March 11th and will be returning on Friday, March 17th.
