Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Days
On October 29th, you received and email from Nicole Kirby about Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Days. If there were to be a "snow" day this year, students would continue to learn from home by having an AMI day. The Park Hill website has more information about the plan for AMI Days in Park Hill. Additionally, at Southeast:
- We will follow a normal ABCD day, so students will receive work from their normally scheduled specials teacher.
- Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher if you need additional support throughout the school day.
We are excited for the opportunity to utilize distance learning from home instead of calling a snow day that could impact our last day of school. Thank you for your continued partnership as we navigate these changes!
Scholastic Book Fair
Our Scholastic Book Fair will be here next week! It will run from Our Scholastic Book Fair will be here next week! It will run from Monday, November 2nd- Friday, November 6th.
Unfortunately, we cannot have parent volunteers in the building, so Mrs. Daly and Mrs. Lassiter will help students pick out books to purchase during library on their Library Specials day if their families have set up an eWallet account through Scholastic. A letter and flier came home previously explaining how to set that up. Since time is limited in library, students will not be checking out library books during the fair.
As a time saver, we will NOT be accepting cash, checks, or credit cards. Therefore, the only 2 ways to purchase are in person with an eWallet account and online. You can visit our Online Fair here to shop online or set up your eWallet account. For eWallet, scroll to the bottom of the online page where it says “Go Cash Free” and “Get Started.” You will need to create a login and then fill out the eWallet form.
eWallets- This is an account you create through Scholastic to load money for your child to spend. Any left over money can either be donated back to the school or be spent on online shopping. Orders of $25 or more have free shipping.
Message from Mrs. Daly- Click here to watch a video how to set up an eWallet account.

Do you know a Park Hill Star?
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy.
The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students. That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.
Southeast Communication
You will find several ways to stay up to date on school activities on the Southeast website , Facebook, and newsletters from your child’s teacher. You will also occasionally get an automated email or voicemail message sent to you, by the school, with important information and reminders. We know two-way communication is best, so please feel free to call or email with any questions you may have regarding your child’s education.
