Course Selection News

Last week we helped 396 Sundevils choose their classes for next year! Every student will have a one-on-one meeting with their Counselor- View Schedule here. Please be sure to bring your transcript and student course selection packet with you! Don't panic if you are not meeting with your Counselor until mid March. First come first served does not apply - everyone has equal access to classes until the window closes on 3/30.

  • Check out all the resources available here
  • Parents of students in 9th-11th grade can get their course selection questions answered at: walk-in Q&A in the Sun Center, February 16, 7:30 - 9:30 am or February 28, 1:30-3:30
    (no appointment needed).

  • AP Informational Meetings - for students interested in taking an AP class next year
  • CORRECTION: Fitness and Conditioning was accidentally omitted from the PE section. Please use course number 001403 to select.

MCHS Builds a Demand-Based Schedule

When students enter their 15 courses for next year it becomes our blueprint for building the master schedule, what classes we will offer, how many teachers we need etc. That is why we allow you ample time to make your selections and ask you to select alternates. If enough students don't sign up for a particular course we close sections, and would like to know your second choice rather than guessing at your replacement class. Entering your 15 courses does not "create" your schedule. Schedules will not be generated or visible until school starts in August.

A word about T3 Schedules

Back in October students had a 3 week window to make changes to their Trimester 2 & 3 schedules. From here on out, the only changes will be for:
  • Going Off-Roll if you can "safely" drop the class in the period you want the off-roll (no rearranging classes at this point)
  • Repeating a failing/failed class.
