Dear Bannes Families,
I hope that everyone is staying healthy and safe. We thank you for your patience and support as we navigate through this time of uncertainty. Our goal is to continue to meet the needs of our students both academically and emotionally. Our teachers have been busy aligning curriculum and creating eLearning lessons that will begin Monday, April 6th. We look forward to eLearning next week. We miss all of you!

Logging into SeeSaw
If you are using an iPad …
Open the Seesaw Class App on iPad:

Scan the Home Learning Student QR Code or enter the TEXT CODE provided by classroom teacher
Welcome to Seesaw, you should see the Class Journal page
The Class Journal page is where you will see morning messages from your teacher. Check the activity tab on the right to see student assignments.If you do not using an iPad, go to seesaw.com
Click the Log in button on top right
Tap on I’m a Student button
Enter the TEXT CODE and hit GO or Click the blue Scan Code button and place the QR code in front of the camera.
Attendance
Teachers will keep a running record of student attendance so that they can support student learning and social-emotional health. We are not tracking and reporting student attendance as we typically do.
Your child's teacher will post a morning message by 8:30 am with assignments and/or content for the day.
EC-K students will be marked present when a parent or student “likes” the teacher’s message on Seesaw
1st-5th Grade students will be marked present when the student “likes” the teacher’s message on Seesaw

Students can contact their teacher for questions during teacher office hours of
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Please be patient, teachers may be responding to other students or preparing lessons for the next day. They will try to make sure they answer questions within 24 hours.
Assessments/ Grading
The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) has given our district guidance that progress will be reported or graded as Pass / Incomplete. Teachers will not be assigning letter grades during eLearning. Our goal is to provide specific feedback, focus on the continuation of learning, and prioritize the connectedness and care for students. Grades will not negatively impact students.
