Testing Information for 3rd - 5th Grade Parents
IMPORTANT
3rd- 5th SC READY & SC PASS INFORMATION
3rd-5th Grade Parents,
As we wind down the school year, we approach our end of the year state testing. There are a few things that we are required to share and some things that need attention to help our students have an optimal testing experience. First, please make sure to note our upcoming testing dates and schedule appointments around these test dates, if at all possible. We are testing the last 3 weeks of school and have very few make-up days available. It will be imperative for students to arrive at school on time and with their ipads charged. Having a good night's sleep and a nutritious breakfast is also recommended. Thank you in advance for supporting our efforts of all students being tested, with their class, and being prepared for testing.
Testing Dates:
3rd GRADE WRITING- MAY 25th
3rd GRADE READING- MAY 26th
4th & 5th GRADE WRITING- JUNE 2nd
4th & 5th GRADE READING- JUNE 3rd
3rd- 5th GRADE MATH- JUNE 8th
4th only for SCIENCE- JUNE 10th
Regarding electronic devices: Students are not allowed to be in possession of any electronic devices that can be used for communicating, recording, timing, creating images, or storing images. If students have these devices, they will be collected by their test administrator and returned after testing is complete. This includes smart watches and phones, among other electronic devices. This restriction does not apply to devices documented in a student's IEP, 504 Plan, or Individualized Health Plan.
GENERAL TEST SECURITY POLICIES:
All students taking the test are obligated to respect the confidentiality and/or copyrights of South Carolina test materials. It is unacceptable to copy, video, or share any content or details of the test. Improper test-taking behavior, such as cheating or producing any type of record or documentation of the test items, may compromise the validity of the test score interpretation for the test taker and for others. A wide array of consequences could occur if a test taker violates test security.
Please reach out with any questions that you may have about state testing.
Thank you for your support,
