In 2014, women were paid 79% of what men were paid. This is a problem for women all around the country, especially for the single mothers trying to raise their family. Many people think that education will fix this gap - but they are wrong!

How can we fix this?

remember: Education is not an effective solution! - At every level of academic achievement, women’s median earnings are less than men’s median earning. In some cases, the gender pay gap is larger at higher levels of education. While education helps everyone, black and Hispanic women earn less than their white and Asian peers do, even when they have the same educational credentials
