Sheldon ISD Tech Tips
August 2018
Welcome Back!
Technology in the classroom is being used well when:
- it improves learning outcomes for students
- it allows students to demonstrate mastery of the TEKS at the appropriate rigor
- it builds the 4 C's: communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking
- it personalizes and differentiates learning
- it allows for student voice and choice
- it builds skills that students will need for their post-secondary life
Tech Information
All tech support requests are to be submitted in Eduphoria - this includes repairs or damage to chromebooks or iPads, desktop computer issues, projector problems, software problems, etc.
Please be sure to go over procedures for device care with with your students at the beginning of the year and then periodically throughout the year. Communication and monitoring can help to keep our devices working for years to come for students in Sheldon. Here are some posters you can use in your classrooms or place on your carts:

Create a Team Flipgrid for Teacher Introductions
As teachers, consider creating a grid of your team members introducing themselves to students and parents. This could be made accessible via a QR code on a handout that parents pick up at Take-A-Look Thursday. Just be sure to provide families with the grid password, and double check all of your settings (whether you want to allow responses, etc.)
