BAND PARENT/FAMILY SEATING FOR FOOTBALL GAMES
If you are coming to the football games, please come sit down next to the band! If you are on the home side of the field the band is in the top section of the stands closest to the school. Look for the black podium in the stands. There will be a sectioned off area for the band but we would love for all our families and friends to join us in this area of the stands just outside the sectioned off area.
Please remember that the visitor concession stand supports the band program. We are working on getting permission for band family and friends to be able to cross the field on the track to be able to visit our concession stand. Stay tuned on what to do to be able to cross the field to support the band's concession stand!
VOLUNTEERING INFORMATION
Thanks to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer at a band event via the Charms calendar. A multi-colored hand on the calendar indicates that volunteers are needed for that event. Click on the hand to sign up. Volunteers are crucial for our band events. Detailed descriptions of volunteer positions can be found in the August 3rd Stinger.
We still need volunteers for our first home game this Friday! Please sign up at this link:

Additional volunteer questions, please contact Stuart Dougherty, stuartdougherty@gmail.com or 404-277-4895. Thanks again to all our wonderful band volunteers, go Hornets!
PARENTS - HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT 3rd QUARTER MEALS?
If your marching band student purchases meals during home football games, then 3rd Quarter Meals may be just the ticket! This option allows the pre-purchase of student meals so that they will no longer need to bring cash to the game. Students simply go over to the Away Concessions stand during the 3rd quarter to pick up their prepaid meals. Check out the 3rd Quarter Meal options. (Deadline for ordering 3rd Quarter Meals: Wednesday, Aug. 18th)
SATURDAY MARCHING BAND REHEARSAL
It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for marching band students to attend this rehearsal. We plan to stage the entire ballad.
- Saturday, Aug. 21 - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Students must bring their lunch
- Students cannot leave campus
TRUCK DRIVERS: PAID POSITION
Do you know a truck "owner/operator" who could help with moving the RHS Band trailer? We are searching for someone who owns their own truck cab who could help us move our band trailer to away football games and competitions. This is not a volunteer position and the driver does not need to be a band parent. We are budgeted to pay the standard rate for the driver, truck, and fuel, plus a cash tip to the driver. (We also offer free admission to football games and competitions, along with all the hot dogs they can eat.) We are seeking someone who has their own truck and can schedule some or all of our fall season trailer events.
An independent truck owner/operator would be a tremendous benefit for the band as we are currently having to work with very unreliable truck rental companies. Please spread the word among all of your business and family contacts.
If you know of anyone who might be interested, please contact Gregory Freeman at president@roswellband.com.
OPENING FOR BAND TREASURER
We are currently looking for someone to fill the position of Band Treasurer. Although our current treasurer, Aimee Christian, will be active until the end of 2021, we are recruiting now to provide sufficient time for a new volunteer to learn the position. The Band Treasurer manages the finances, budget, and transactions associated with the band. If you would be interested, please contact Aimee at treasurer@roswellband.com.

SPECIAL THANKS TO KIM FRIEDMAN
We would like to extend a big thank you to Kim Friedman who has worked as the RHS Band administrative assistant. Kim was a tremendous contribution to the band program. She recently stepped down from the position, but continued to assist during our transition of band directors. We wish her the best and plan on seeing her in the stands on Friday nights. Thanks Kim!
