Kia Ora e te Whānau
Our Board of Trustee nominations closed at noon today and we are pleased to share that we will be having an election. We have 6 nominations for 4 available positions. I would like to strongly encourage you to read the information about each candidate that will be sent home in the near future and then vote in the election. Please keep an eye out for this information that will come to you via post.
We have had an excellent start to Term 3 welcoming 15 tamariki into our newest new entrant class being taught by Mrs Jo Powell. Alongside Jo and her new tamariki we also have seven 3rd year student teachers who are completing their final teaching practicum over the full 10 weeks of the term.
It was a pleasure to welcome all of these new kaiako, tamariki and their whānau into school this morning with a powhiri alongside Te Manawanui and Piwakawaka tamariki.
The term ahead has numerous events and activities happening for your children right across the school. From Funky Fun days at Trustpower Baypark through to the Mōtītī Teams camps in the last weeks of the term. I would encourage you to keep up to date with the communication that comes home via your classroom teachers.
As always, if you have any questions please make contact in the first instance with your child's classroom teacher.
I look forward to seeing many of you in and around school over the coming weeks.
Ngā mihi
