Biographical Info
He was born March, 9, 1824. His father was a prosperous farmer who occasionally contracted bridges and roads. He made business at Watervliet, New York in mining supplies which gained him his industry, and he did things in politics later becoming a member of the senate. He invested in the Central Pacific Railroad. He later became president of the railroad's construction. Later created Stanford college with his wife in honer of their son who had died
Wanted robber baron
Did not seperate personal and political motive by using hi power to get permits for the railroad, and pushing for it to be made.
