The L.E.S. Buzz...
One School, One Team, One Goal...The Sky is the Limit!
Welcome Back!
Welcome Back! I hope that you have had time to complete all your summer projects while spending some quality time with family and friends, doing the things you enjoy.
As we enter this new school year and new beginnings, I am humbled to be your Principal. We will continue our focus on having a growth mindset, both for ourselves and our students, growing and learning together. The journey we will take this year will have some sharp curves, hills, straight and narrow paths. We will not give up on our students or each other. We will learn from our past to work on the future and come out stronger on the other end.
We have a lot to celebrate as we move into the new school year. As we all know and appreciate, teaching is one of those rare professions where you get a clean slate ever year. That always brings hope and possibility and this year will be no exception. Let's continue our work on creating a professional community that is supportive, caring, and committed to making everyone feel valued and connected.
Our theme this year is One School, One Team, One Goal...The Sky is the Limit'! We know that what you do on a daily basis is what constitutes the success of our children. We must continue to concentrate on the processes that advance continuous improvement of teaching and learning for our students through connecting with each other and students, engaging in collaboration and support to create a sense of belonging, challenging each other and students to be at our best in our work, aspiring our students and each other and maintaining social, emotional, physical wellness to create a thriving school community.
I challenge you to reflect on your "What". What is your "What?" What drives you as an educator/ What inspires and motivates you every day? Why did you decide to invest in the lives of children...?
Let me encourage you to build on the excitement that comes with the start of a new school year. There will be new faces, new challenges, and much anticipation of great things to come. Keep our focus on students, supporting each other, and it will be a great year.
I look forward to seeing you all soon to create our new stories of great learning. It begins now. Go be awesome!
