Big picture

It's Been a Great Week!

The weather has been great and our teachers have been taking every opportunity to get students outside while engaging them in fun, learning activities.

  • We celebrated School Counselors' Week! We feel so grateful to have two wonderful school counselors.

  • Our 3rd graders had a great performance on Wednesday night under the leadership of Mrs. Adams and Mr. Moore. We are also grateful for all the support of our staff and families in making this a successful event.
  • Looking forward to the Winter Market this evening (5:30-7:30 p.m.)

Heart Health Month Updates!

Comets, NEXT WEEK is our Kid's Heart Challenge event! We will be jumping rope, exercising our hearts, and talking about why it is so important to keep our hearts healthy and strong.

There is still time for you to join the challenge at home. Visit heart.org/khc or search Kid's Heart Challenge on the app store to join us and take Finn's Mission. Raising money is an awesome way to help the American Heart Association and those with sick hearts and we have raised over $11,000 so far for the AHA....but....you can also join the challenge by learning as much as possible about keeping your own heart healthy, learning the signs of heart attack and stroke, and learning hands-only CPR during Finn's mission.

I encourage EVERY STUDENT to join the challenge and take Finn's Mission to learn as much as they can and share that knowledge with friends and family. That makes you a Heart Hero!
