MLK Day Poster Contest
The University of Connecticut Martin Luther King Jr. Day Committee, is inviting students to participate in the 2015 MLK Day Poster Contest. The deadline for both submissions is December 14, 2015. KP would be happy to submit the poster entries on behalf of families if needed. Please see information below.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS!!!! HIGH SCHOOL OPTIONS FAIR AT KP on 11/6!
Believe it or not, high school is right around the corner! You will soon receive information regarding the transition process to Hall High School. However, if your child is considering other options than Hall High School, it is important to start exploring these options now.
Veterans Day at KP
During the day, in honor of their service to our country and its citizens, KP students will participate in service projects throughout the day. Each team has adopted a project/projects of interest and will communicate with families about what they are doing along with any supports needed. Thank you for supporting our focus on citizenship.
There is still time to donate to Allie's Mitzvah Movies
CollectingG, PG, or PG-13 movies to support a KP student's desire to assist Kid Flicks, a non-profit organization created by four sisters in California. Please place your movies and monetary donations (checks made out to Kid Flicks) in the box in the main office labeled “Allie’s Mitzvah Movies”. Collections will be delivered every Thursday through November 5th.

Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) Information Session:
Come and learn how you can make a difference in the lives of West Hartford children by
expanding your parental toolbox to include leadership and advocacy skills. The Parent
Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) trains, inspires and empowers parents to become
effective advocates for children. To learn more about this dynamic program, please join us for an information session on Friday, November 13th from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the
Family Resource Center at Charter Oak International Academy. Call 860-929-5575 to RSVP.
Children are welcome and refreshments will be served.
