CPA has several support options for our English Learner Students. Please work with your HST to develop a plan that will best meet the needs of your child on their path to become proficient in English. See here for the different options available. Parents on Course
Cabrillo Point Academy presents Parent on Course for the 21-22 school year! Parents on Course consists of workshops offered by outside guest speakers as well as the incredible talent and wealth of knowledge we have here on staff. Each workshop will be designed to support our parents with some facet of their child’s education and overall well-being. The workshops will address academics, curriculum, social-emotional health, behavior, technology, school knowledge, and many other topics that will engage parents and support them in navigating the educational journey with their child/ren. Please visit our Parents on Course webpage in the Beehively Parent website for a monthly calendar of events and Zoom Links to Access!
Special Education
All students require an environment conducive for learning. Learning coaches are expected to support their students' needs in creating this environment to deliver academic instruction throughout the instructional day. Students with an IEP may require additional support and accommodations to their educational setting. Please reach out to your students' case manager and your students’ HST for additional support and strategies to assist in the following areas: learning environment, activities, Instructional strategies and programs, schedules, transitions, behavior, rules and procedure, and motivation.
Enrichment
IMPORTANT REMINDER: All students must have a signed Master Agreement (MA) on file in order for Enrichment and Curriculum orders to be processed. Please work with your HST to sign and submit your student’s MA, if you have not already. If MAs are not on file by September 13th, student planning amounts will be frozen until this piece is in place.
Please note that Masterclass courses are not able to be purchased. The vendor now only offers an all access subscription, and unfortunately, not all courses that are included are appropriate for the school to purchase.

Homeschooling Advice
Keeping Homeschool Kids Active & Healthy
The emergence of the coronavirus had a devastating effect on so many activities worldwide. It was so bad that schools and offices had to shut down and everyone was forced to carry on their office or schooling activities at home for extended periods. Though things are a bit relaxed, it is still not like before. Many parents while working from home and homeschooling their kids are quite burdened with other to-dos at home. However, it is necessary to make sure your kids indulge in some physical activities at home for at least one hour every day. Let us see tips on some of those activities.
Regular Working Out and Exercises
Regular physical activities in the form of exercises and workout sessions improve muscle strength and boost endurance. It is a means to healthy living not just for the kids but for the parents as well. You can watch videos online of some routine workout sessions which you can adopt at home. Lead the sessions and make it fun throughout by playing some music whose beats go with the activities.

Hi, I am a Mother of 4 sons, and grandma of 3 little ones. I learned about homeschooling about 5 years ago and I loved the whole concept. I homeschooled my youngest son and he loved it! I wish I had known this way of teaching when my other sons were little. I love helping families to thrive, and be successful! I am here to help you in any way I can.
