What is flexibility
The definition of flexibility is the quality of bending easily without breaking. Flexibility is the range of motion of your joints and the ability to move freely. Flexibility also refers to the mobility of your muscles, which allows for more movement around the joints. Range of motion is the distance and direction your joints can move, while mobility is the ability to move without restriction.

Flexibility training helps improve the range of motion of your joints and muscles.
Decreases your risk of injury
When your muscles are flexible, you are less likely to become injured during physical activity.

Flexibility training can help reduce muscle soreness post-workout. Stretching after you exercise keeps your muscles loose and relaxed.
How flexibility relates to me
I believe it is very important to be flexible and it helps people remain healthy. I stretch regularly in order to increase my level of flexibility. Because I am involved in cheer leading and swimming it is important for me to remain flexible. Being flexible allows me to move properly and makes life easier as a whole.
How to improve flexibility
- Figure out your flexibility needs(make a realistic goal for yourself)
- Always stretch before working out and on a daily basis
- Do a Dynamic workout prior to exercising
