October 28 to Nov 1 Newsletter

Thank you to all the parents and students who came out to Community Day. It was a great day and it looked like everyone was having a good time!

We have been very busy last week with assessments in preparation for report cards coming up on November 15.

On Thursday, October 31st, there will be a sing-along and a costume parade in the MPR starting at 9:00 a.m. All Kindergarten and Elementary children will participate, and parents are invited to join us! For those children who don’t wish to wear a costume, it will be a dress down day with no uniforms required.

There will be no candy handouts during the costume parade this year. Instead we will be having a classroom party. If you are able to provide a snack for the class, please put a note in your child's agenda saying what you are able to bring. It would be great if there could be some healthy snacks, such as fruit, crackers and cheese, or vegetables and dip (nothing with peanuts please). The Grade 2's will also have Halloween Centers.

Halloween Stories

We will be working on the story Stellaluna this week about a bat who gets lost.vAlso, please check this link for some great Halloween Stories on Tumblebooks.

Homework Books

Again, homework books are due on Thursday, and Spelling books on Friday. Please check to see that your child has completed their homework to the best of their ability before handing it in to me. That means that Thursday homework should be done before it is handed in.

Have a great week.
