Focus on Car Riders -> Safe Drop-Off and Pick-Up
- Your student must stay with you in your car until teachers come out to welcome them.
- Please stay in your car during pick-up or drop-off.
- Please adjust car seats so students can get out of the car on the curb.
- Please remain in line. Do not go around other cars. Only turn around in the circle, no U-turns anywhere else.
- Please let your student out on the sidewalk in front of the main doors, not on the side by the playgrounds.
- Please walk your student in to the school and sign in in the Main Office if there are no teachers outside when you drop off your student, which is after the 8:55 bell rings.
These requests are made for the safety of all students, including yours!
Remember, if the car rider line isn't working for you, there's always the bus.
Outdoor Recess in Winter
- Please send your child prepared for the weather with coats, hats, and gloves.
- Children will go outside for recess as long as the temperature and wind chill are above 15 degrees.
- From the School Handbook: "Recess will be held outdoors whenever possible. Precipitation, sunshine, cloud cover, wind chill, temperature, etc. are all considered when a decision is made for indoor recess. In general, recess will be held indoors when it is raining or the temperature/wind chill falls below 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
A Change in Transportation
- In writing to your child's teacher.
- By phone call to the front office at 317-915-4270.
Please do not rely on your student telling the teacher of a transportation change.
Please do not rely on an email to the teacher. Teachers don't always check their email in time.
All Transportation changes must be called in before 2:00pm.
Thank you!
