CELC News & Updates
Dear CELC Familles,
Last week was full of fun and learning. Thank you to the parent volunteers that helped with a variety of activities including Dia de Muertos and Pumpkin Science. Our Cubs are grateful for your support. The Halloween Parade was very well attended. Thank you to those who came to watch our Cubs parade around the school. Aren't they the cutest?
The teachers are looking forward to meeting with each of you the week of November 13th to discuss your child's progress and hand you their first report card. Please make sure that you have made an appointment for this important and informational conference. Contact your child's teacher if you have any questions about scheduling.
Thank you to our amazing PTA that met last week to help finalize plans for the Turkey Trot! We are looking forward to trotting on on Friday, November 17th. See more information below.
Here are a few updates to help keep you informed:
- REMINDER: Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the week of November 13th. TK and K students will be released at 12:15 p.m. M-F to allow time for teachers to meet with each parent.
- If you have not signed up for a PTA membership yet, it is not too late. Teachers will be sending out forms and will also have them available at Parent/Teacher Conferences.
- Lunch with a Veteran is Thursday, November 9th. See the flyer below.
- No school on Friday, November 10th.
Students are expected to follow school rules at all times. Please help support safe, responsible, and respectful behavior while you are on campus with them before and after school.
ATTENTION: If your student is going to be absent for an extended period, please make sure to request an Independent Study Contract from the office at least one week in advance. This will ensure that your child's teacher has ample time to prepare assignments, and your student can receive attendance credit during their absence.
For transportation questions, please visit AUSD's website at https://www.alpineschools.net/page/transportation
I hope you have a fantastic week!
Sincerely,
Tamara Ripke, Proud Principal

A Message From the PTA
Dear Families,
It's a little less than 2 weeks away from the Annual Creekside Turkey Trot and the fundraising has begun! Everyone should be receiving a sponsorship opportunity flyer with the sponsorship options. Please note, this is our one and ONLY fall fundraiser and the donations you make will help with the Spring Fling, assemblies, field trips, & additional resources for our students! If you didn't receive the flyer yet we have included below.
The Turkey Trot is a fun event for our school where the kids get to participate in fun activity stations. Please note all parents are invited to come watch your student, please reach out to your teacher for what time their specific class will be participating. If you are looking to help with one of the activity stations or would like to help set up, please sign up HERE.
You also can find updates on Turkey Trot and all other happenings at Creekside on the Creekside PTA's Instagram. Go ahead and give us a follow: CreeksideKPTA
Thank you, again! We appreciate all the support and are hoping to make this year the BEST for our students!
