Coyote Creek News

January 20, 2014

It's been a great start to 2014 at Coyote Creek. The excitement of Zumba last week has made sure we've all had a healthy and active beginning to the New Year. We had a good parent turnout for our Zumba presentation and look forward to having the same for our upcoming Science Fair in February.

Body Science Information Night

It was standing room only last Thursday evening for the Parent Presentation in Coyote Creek's Library on Body Science. There were lots of good questions and clarifications at the session and we want to thank everyone for coming out and making the evening a success. The message we would like to underline for the school community is, our school, using the curriculum can teach the body Science to students, but it's up to parents to teach the values that are important to their family around healthy living.

This week we will be sending home detailed information about the student sessions coming up in February. Please note that students must have parental consent to attend the in class sessions.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration is already underway at Coyote Creek and our school community would appreciate people getting the word out to families, friends and neighbours. If you know someone who has a child turning five in 2014, please come down to the school as soon as possible to register for the upcoming school year.

Please make sure you contact the school office if your child is going to be absent. You can phone 604-597-0858 24 hours a day and leave a message with us, so we don't have to call you at home to make sure your child is safe. Thanks for your help with this.

Newsletter Distribution

We no longer distribute a paper copy of the school newsletter. We ask that

all parents please take a moment to visit the school website and sign up to

receive the school newsletter.

If you go to the bottom of the school home page, there is a box called

“NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTION”. Put in your email address, press “Sign Up”

and you will automatically be registered to receive the school newsletter.
