#MayDay
I love May! It's the month where the sun shines brighter and the temperature warmer. It is lighter longer and the birds are always singing. May in a school can be crazy, though! That is one of the reasons why it is so important for us all to continue our routines! As crazy as this time of the year is with field trips, testing, celebrations, etc; it is critical that we still keep the main thing the main thing! Soon, we will wrap up the school year and send them into a summer break so we need to make sure we are maximizing our time together!
#KidsDeserveIt
- SMILE! Be Happy! #BeELITEInYour20SquareFeet! Be intentional! You set the tone for your day by radiating positive energy and body language! Relationships trump EVERYTHING else. Scholars don't learn from people they don't like! You can have ELITE level expectations and still build relationships that impact!
- Summer Experience begins June 3rd, Information is coming on times and planning days. Thank you to everyone who said they can support our scholars during this ELITE time! Stay tuned for more information!
- Hallway Bulletin Boards: Please make sure they are current and not empty.
- RCD Roll Out Begins this week: All teams will meet with Ms. Ferreira and Ms. Raeburn for the next two Fridays (5/10 and 5/17) during their planning. More details coming!
- All Lesson Designs need to be turned into the book. Thank you for turning in your plans. Please review your learning targets. Is there a KNOW and a DO? What do your OPENINGS (HOOKS) look like? What are you doing with your formative assessment data? Testing time is important: but all learning time is valued! Make sure your classes are still providing relevant, engaging, FUN learning experiences!
- ALL CLASSROOMS: need the standard and learning target posted on your boards. Learning still continues through the end of the school year.
- Dress Code: Please make sure all attire is professional, even on jeans days.
- BREAK continues on Thursdays.
- Please take time to review your TKES in the platform. This week we will be wrapping up all observations. Next week we will begin Mid-Year Conferences! All TKES will be completed by 5/15.
- STAFF: If you are going to be out, you must let me know. You can do that by text or email. No exceptions. Also, if you need to leave campus early, you must let me know via text or email. Please follow these basic guidelines
- Leadership: Will be Tuesday Morning: 7:45 AM: Agenda will be updated Sunday night
- STAFF: If you have something you want to communicate to the whole staff, please email me and we will work through that process.

How have you done this week living your B.E.S.T. Life?
1. Do you BELIEVE that our scholars can achieve and grow?
2. Did you bring ELITE levels of ENERGY to your classroomm and hallways every single day this week?
3. Did you learn from your teammates something AMAZING to put in a lesson design or did you learn something amazing from ......maybe our scholars????? How did that impact your work?
4. Did you write someone a note this week to thank them for being AMAZING? Or to thank them for all they do? I wrote at least one thankful / Thank YOU/ You're amazing notes each day this week and I will continue that practice. Getting into classrooms and seeing smiles and writing thank you notes-- without question-- is one of the best parts of my day! You just FEEL GOOD about it!
The challenge continues:
B: Believe
E: Energy
S: Sponge
T: Thankful
What we GET to do outweighs what we HAVE to do: Every Single Day!
"I love ideas! I love it when people give me ideas, even if I don't use 90% of them! I love being in an environment where people want to engage me, where I can walk around the ballpark and think "there's something there"
"
Understanding the buckets and how to WIN at GAPS is our focus! Targets are set!
