2 Hour Early Release: October 15th and NO SCHOOL on October 16th
Because of Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday and Tuesday, October 12th and 13th from 4-8pm at Liberty Academy, there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 16th. Thursday, October 15th is a 2-hour early release day for Staff Professional Development. Enjoy the extra long weekend!

Parents, we need your input! The district is looking for parent input! Between now and Friday, October 16th please take 5 minutes to fill out the parent survey regarding our technology at school . Students, parents, and staff will all be taking a version of the survey and we will use the data to drive our school improvement goals. We appreciate your help! **Upon completion, if you call or e-mail Mrs. Norris (mnorris@liberty.k12.mo.us) indicating that you took it, she will award your student with FIVE NIX BUX!!

Scream in the Dark: Heritage Middle School
Scream in the Dark will take place on Friday, October 16th and Saturday, October 17th at Heritage Middle School from 7-10pm. The cost of admission is $6 per person.
Liberty High School's Safe Halloween Event
Join Liberty High School's Student Council on Thursday, October 29th from 6-8pm for a fun, non-scary, safe Halloween event in the Liberty High School Commons.
There will be game, activities, and of course candy all geared towards kinds in 3rd grade and under! Admission per child is either 3 non-perishable items of $3. Proceeds and items collected will benefit Key Club's Snack Pack program, which benefits LPS students in need.

United Way 2015 is Coming Your Way, Liberty Academy! Are you ready?
United Way Student Activities:
Candy Jar: Students can purchase an unlimited number of guesses as to the correct number of candies in the jar. Each guess will cost 25 cents. The contest will start on Monday, 10/19 and the winner will be announced on Friday, October 23rd. The person with the closest guess to the actual number will receive the candy from the jar to take home. In the event of a tie, the candy will be divided accordingly.
Cookie-Grams: For 50 cents, students can send a cookie-gram to another person at Liberty Academy. You will complete a written note that will be delivered to the student or staff person of your choice along with a yummy cookie. What a great way to lift someone's day!
Lollipop Sales: We are excited to offer Ozark Delight Lollipops for sale for $1 each. These handcrafted lollipops are made in small batches and come in 40 delicious and mouth-watering flavors from "dill pickle" to "sour green apple" to "strawberry cheesecake" and everything in between!
Wacky Way Wednesday: (10/21) Events to include...
+Ring Toss: 50 cents gets you 2 rings to toss. The prizes? Canned and bottled drinks!
+Cupcake Walk: 50 cents gets you 2 chances in the walk to win a yummy cupcake!
+Play the LA Mini-Golf Course: You can choose to play 9 holes for a $3 donation or play all the way through all 18 holes for a $4 donation. But there is a catch--for only $1 extra (per opponent) you can "saddle" your opponent(s) with the hill-billy putter! There will be a grand prize for the lowest score from the 9 hole players and another for the18 hole players. Winners will be announced on Friday, 10/23.
Dress Up Spirit Days will take place all week! Winners daily!
