Learn. Lead. Lift

Lyn Knoll Elementary will be a community school that ensures every student becomes a lifelong learner, a leader in our community, and an empathetic individual who lifts others.

Lyn Knoll Elementary will create an inclusive culture of excellence in which everyone is a learner, by cultivating character through strategic social-emotional education, celebrating diversity by providing authentic, individualized learning and creating a community where everyone can be a leader who lifts others around them.

  • We Learn: Students learn through engaging academic instruction that meets their individual needs.

  • We Lead: Students develop social-emotional skills in order to be leaders in their community.

  • We Lift: Students lift each other in our school community by being compassionate and providing equitable access to resources.

APS 2020: Shaping the Future is based on our community’s core beliefs about education—these are our foundation. We, as a community, believe:

●Every student has unique abilities that we must recognize and engage.

●A district with students at its center provides an adaptable and responsible foundation for learning.

●Student and staff safety is essential to our vision and mission.

●Students, families, staff, and community members share the responsibility for student achievement.

●Student achievement and growth are driven by a highly-effective and respected staff working as a team.

●Students take an active and ongoing responsibility for their learning.

●Families are our partners in education.

●Community partnerships provide vital resources and opportunities for students and families.

●All students must have equitable access to learning opportunities, technology, and environments that support them in reaching their full potential.

●Diversity is a strength in our community.

Principal Message

Dear Lyn Knoll Families,

We would like to welcome you to another great year at Lyn Knoll Elementary School! We know you have a choice in your child's education and we appreciate you choosing our school to develop your child into a lifelong learner, leader, and lifter of their community! Our faculty and staff have been working hard all summer to ensure every student at Lyn Knoll receives the highest quality remote and in-person education in a safe and caring environment.

We look forward to welcoming all students in grades 1st through 5th grade back to school for remote/online learning starting Tuesday, August 18, and Kindergarten and preschool on Monday, August 24th. In preparation for online learning, we will be hosting Back to School nights on August 13th and 14th. Families will have a scheduled time to visit the school, pick up all student materials and supplies, meet their teacher, and complete all registration requirements. New students to Lyn Knoll will receive their Chromebook during this time, as well. It is very important that all families attend during their scheduled time so that you and your child have everything you need for your child to be successful during online learning. Our family liaisons will be calling all families this week to schedule their appointments.

Have a great week and we look forward to seeing all our families at our Back to School nights!
